PLANNING YOUR GARDEN

Many times garden ends up looking like a collection of unrelated concepts devoid of any unifying theme or language. Although the only real limit to the type of garden you can have is your imagination, working with a style that strings through all your elements is still important. Take some time to understand the philosophy behind any style before trying it out in your garden. This helps you to stay on top of your preferences and to creatively control any adaptations to your own style.

Planting.....choose plants that naturally grows in your immediate surrounding.visit your local nursery and select local species.

C
hoose colorful and vibrant leaves, flowers, fruits and nuts.

Try to get 3 seedling of each kind and plant them in odd numbered groups avoiding patterns.

Also try to place more multifunctional plants to give your garden more shade, food and maybe more for bird attractions.

Take a note of your soil type and also need ground
preparation before planting.

You also need right manure and water for plant to prosper and growth.

Paths in your garden should be same as natural stones to give a more natural look.

Local carving and statue can be placed in important areas in your garden,it brings out more of your self expression.

Cholesterol is a type of fat made in the liver and found in animal foods.

CHOLESTEROL IS NEEDED FOR IMPORTANT BODY FUNCTIONS. Such as...

  • Building cell walls
  • Protecting nerves
  • Making hormones

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF CHOLESTEROL.

  • THE GOOD. (HDL or High Density Lipid)
  • THE BAD and the UGLY!! (LDL or Low Density Lipid.)

A higher level of HDL is needed to carry LDL from the BLOOD back to the LIVER to be ELIMINATED from the body.

If there is a higher level of
LDL cholesterol in the BLOOD this may:

  • Cause high blood pressure!
  • Raise your risk of heart attack!
  • Raise your risk of stroke!
  • Cause the kidneys to fail!

HOW ??

Cholesterol is broken down into LDL which is needed by the body cells. Once the cells are satisfied the unused LDL remains to become what is known as blood cholesterol.

The main danger of high blood cholesterol is that fatty plaques may form which will decrease the diameter of blood vessels. This leads to a restriction of the flow of blood and oxygen to the tissues of the body.

  • If an artery supplying blood to the HEART becomes blocked you may have a heart attack!

  • If an artery supplying blood to the BRAIN becomes blocked you may have a Stroke!

  • If an artery supplying blood to the kidney becomes blocked you may suffer kidney failure.

WHAT CAUSES HIGH BLOOD CHOLESTEROL?

The main causes are:

  • Eating too much high saturated fat. i.e. fat found in butter and dairy products, cakes biscuits and take away foods.
  • Being overweight.
  • Not exercising.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO LOWER YOUR CHOLESTEROL?

YOU CAN ……eat more:

  • Fruits and vegetables.
  • Oily fish (tuna, mackerel and herring).
  • Skinless chicken.
  • Fiber rich foods, e.g. oats and wholemeal bread.

YOU CAN…. eat less

  • Fried take away fast foods.
  • High fat dairy products and eggs.
  • Saturated fats and oils.
  • Biscuits, cakes and pastries.

YOU CAN... USE

  • Unsaturated margarine instead of butter.

  • Unsaturated oils (olive oil) instead of lard.

  • Low fat cooking methods: steaming, grilling and microwaving.

YOU SHOULD…

  • Make exercise a part of your day. (Walking is good).
  • Not smoke
  • Drink more water.

THE LINK BETWEEN BLOOD CHOLESTEROL LEVELS AND HEART DISEASE IS CLEAR.

STUDIES HAVE SHOWN THAT IF AN AVERAGE MAN CAN REDUCE HIS BLOOD CHOLESTEROL BY ONLY 10% HE CAN REDUCE HIS RISK OF HEART ATTACK BY UP TO 50%!!

Start NOW to make the changes because…..

YOUR HEALTH AND WELL BEING ARE IMPORTANT

TO YOU AND TO US!!

ALWAYS GO FOR DIET THAT SUITS YOU,BUT THE SIMPLE THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND ARE ....

Eat little and often.
The longer you wait between meals, the more likely you are to eat the “wrong” thing when you finally eat. Besides, when you eat larger meals, your body ends up secreting a large amount of insulin. That’s why you feel like eating something sweet after a big meal.

Eat a healthy, “slow-release” diet. Eating complex carbohydrates like brown rice together with lean protein foods such as chicken or lentils results in the desired slow release of energy. Contrary to popular belief, this doesn’t mean cutting all fat from your diet. In fact, eating “good” fats like avocados and olives can help you control the amount you eat.

Avoid caffeinated drinks, fruit juices and booze. While they all give you an instant lift, you’ll end up craving something sweet a few hours later.

Drink plenty of water. Quite simply, if you’re not drinking enough water, you won’t burn as many calories as you can. Why? Your body needs 2.5 liters of water a day to function properly. If it doesn’t get this, you become dehydrated and your metabolism (the rate at which you burn calories) will be one of the first things to slow down.
